Grosse Pointe Audubon Spring Schedule

Here's Grosse Pointe Audubon's schedule for Spring 2016

April 18 – The Bats of Michigan with Dr. Allen Kurta. Join’s Michigan’s bat man for a presentation on Michigan’s nine species of bats. Dr. Kurta will focus on the species that overwinter underground in mines and caves.  The presentation will conclude with an introduction to white-nose syndrome, a fungal disease that has killed millions of hibernating bats in eastern North America since 2006. Social hour at 7 p.m., meeting starts promptly at 7:30. In the annex behind Grosse Pointe Unitarian Church.

April 26, May 3, 10, 17, 24 – Bird Walks at the Country Club of Detroit. 6:30-8 a.m. Meet at the stand of trees down the maintenance road to the left of the clubhouse.  Wear waterproof shoes.

May 6 – Grosse Pointe Birding Challenge. All are welcome. Scroll down for more information and rules.

May 17 – Bird walk at Patterson Park, Grosse Pointe Park. Meet in the parking lot at 6:30 p.m.

May 19 – Bird walk at Patterson Park, Grosse Pointe Park. Meet in the parking at 8 a.m.
